Welcome aboard De Cornelia!
De Cornelia, once a sturdy freighter, was converted to a unique houseboat in the 1980s. Four seasons a year we enjoy the almost rural quiet of this special place in Amsterdam-Noord.
Living in a metropolis ánd country living combined. Rowing and swimming, or hiking in the woods opposite the gangplank.
And within only twenty minutes by bicycle or subway, we’re in the middle of the hustle and bustle of our beautiful city.
Privacy and space
We love to share the Cornelia-feeling. For starters, it means a lot of privacy. That’s why we’re a ‘Boat, no breakfast’.
The two large, comfortable huts each have their own theme. New Navy is in maritime style. Old Amsterdam winks at the city’s Golden Age.
Because of the shared facilities De Cornelia is ideal for families, couples and friend groups. And also for colleagues on a work trip, who’d rather steer clear of standard business hotels, our ship can be an enjoyable alternative.
Locatie
De Cornelia is moored on the Nieuwendammerkade in Amsterdam-Noord. On the border of the Vliegenbos, with the old village of Nieuwendam around the corner.
A short stroll through the woods, or over the quaint Nieuwendammerdijk, brings you to bus stops. A little further afield is the station of the Noord-Zuid subway, which takes you quickly into the center of town.
If you want to explore Amsterdam and beautiful nearby Waterland for real, we recommend to rent bicycles. Amsterdam is, after all, the cycle capital of Europe!
